August 22: We have been testing the Land Cruiser on and off for the last few weeks. We trailed high mountain passes, traversed deep rivers and conquered many dusty back roads on the Bolivian high plateau. There are some minor things to be adjusted, but overall the Land Cruiser outperforms our wildest dreams. It had been a while since we had serious offers from people who wanted to buy our Land Cruiser, but these few weeks we had to dust off the list again and added numerous people.
We hear you say, "Are you insane! Selling the car after all the work you have put into it." No of course we aren't selling it, but it is kind of fun to keep a list of all the people who are interested in buying the Land Cruiser.
We are in our last weeks in Bolivia, preparing the Land Cruiser for the hot humid lowlands of Brazil. Rio and Sao Paulo, see you in September!

In our logbook:
What can be more fun than to test drive a car to a place like Copacabana? Actually it isn't Copacabana in Brazil, but Copacabana in Bolivia. The beautiful road up there was surprisingly good and very scenic. It made us think back to the beginning of our trip when driving in Greece; mountainous curvy roads with spectacular views of blueish waters. In this case we were looking at Lake Titicaca at almost 3.800 meters. But there was more to it than just a test drive. We were here to hire a priest and have some formalities taken care of...

All that and more in our latest logbook story.

Enjoy reading, Karin-Marijke and Coen
